Tips for exercising in the summer heat




Tips for exercising in the summer heat:
  • Time of Day: Try to avoid exercising from 10am-3pm on scorching hot days. Check the weather for heat advisories.
  • Clothing: Wear light colored clothes to help reflect some of the sun's heat.
  • Protect your Skin: Use at least SPF 30 to be safe. Don't let cloudy days fool you!
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink water before, during and after training! Try to drink every 15 minutes during your workout.
  • Listen to your body: STOP if you feel dizzy, faint or nauseous.
